Job Description:
As a Sales Manager for Chattack Namkeens, your primary responsibility will be to establish and manage a strong network of distributors to effectively reach customers and drive sales growth. You will be responsible for recruiting, training, and managing distributors across different regions, ensuring they effectively promote and distribute Chattack Namkeens products. Your role will involve developing sales strategies, setting targets, and providing necessary support to the distributor network to achieve sales goals.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to establish and expand the distributor network for Chattack Namkeens.
- Identify and recruit potential distributors in target regions, considering factors such as market potential, existing distribution channels, and competitor presence.
- Train and onboard new distributors, providing them with a clear understanding of Chattack Namkeens products, pricing, marketing support, and sales targets.
- Establish strong relationships with distributors, acting as a primary point of contact and providing ongoing support, guidance, and motivation.
- Collaborate with distributors to develop sales plans and strategies to effectively penetrate the market, expand distribution reach, and achieve sales targets.
- Monitor and analyze distributor performance, sales data, and market trends to identify areas for improvement and develop action plans accordingly.
- Conduct regular meetings and reviews with distributors to evaluate their performance, address challenges, provide feedback, and develop improvement plans.
- Ensure effective product placement and visibility in retail outlets through the distributor network, implementing merchandising strategies and promotional activities.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement promotional campaigns, advertising materials, and sales tools to support the distributor network.
- Stay updated with industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to provide valuable insights and adapt sales strategies as required.
- Manage distributor contracts, agreements, and negotiations, ensuring compliance with company policies and guidelines.
- Foster a positive and collaborative working relationship with internal stakeholders, including supply chain, finance, and customer service teams, to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor market pricing, distribution costs, and competitor activities to recommend pricing strategies and maintain competitiveness.
- Prepare regular reports on sales performance, distributor activities, market share, and other relevant metrics to present to the management team.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Sales Manager or in a similar role, with a successful track record in distributor management, preferably in the FMCG industry.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse network of distributors.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to build and maintain strong relationships with distributors and internal stakeholders.
- Strategic thinking and analytical skills to develop effective sales plans, identify market opportunities, and drive business growth.
- Results-oriented mindset, with a demonstrated ability to achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Knowledge of the food industry, preferably in the snacks/namkeen sector, including key competitors, distribution channels, and market dynamics.
- Familiarity with distributor management best practices, including recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and relationship management.
- Ability to analyze sales data, market trends, and consumer insights to inform decision-making and develop actionable strategies.
- Proficiency in using CRM software and MS Office applications for sales reporting and analysis.
